Have to disagree with you. In North Korea, those with brains won't dare to use it. In CHC, there isn't any brain to be washed.

The similarity is indeed in the brainwash part. The main difference is, North Korea is so closed to the rest of the world many of her people truly believe in their Great Leader and all the state propaganda. But CHC operates in modern Singapore, information is abundant. and if you look and listen around, you should be able to make discerning decisions and sound judgement.

That so many people are still supporting CHC, Kong Hee, Sun Ho, etc, can mean either two things. One, CHC and Kong Hee are really super duper solid in convincing people. Two, its members are brain-dead.

Look, the human brain is not so smart.

It is not difficult to manipulate the brain to make certain irrational decisions.

That part of the brain respond to "legacy" primate behaviour.

Product package designers, marketing/advertising people and conmen use them all the time.

No surprises. Currently, there are so many suffering (no money, broken families, jobless and etc) singaporean, and many will choose seek religous help/comfort.

CHC has surely did a great job comforting them, so much so it is enough to blind them to see the truth problem of CHC.

If a society is sick, people turn to religion. If a government is sick, people turn to opposition.
