Discussion was going on in a group as to whether rural or urban living is better. One group is strongly in defense of urban that too, chennai and the others rural.
The urban favorite says he is in Chennai since his ancestors days and he did not like even like a Dist. head quarters and he cannot imagine life in deep rural. The rural group says they also visited Chennai number times. It is good for occasional visit, but living rural is better.

The rural group says having accustomed to easy way of living with spacious house, near by availability of things, one need not go in traffic and struggle even to park the 2 wheeler as in Urban and Chennai.

The Urban group says though the accommodation etc. is small the schooling, electricity supply, entertainment etc. they feel happy in Chennai is not available in other places and the other limitations are therefore tolerable to them.

Finally it seems it is the liking of the people and mind set that matters, but not the facilities or dis comforts.

For me I worked and moved in different places, rural and urban, all big cities like Chennai in India. Made some visits abroad too, yet at the end of the day when becoming aged, rural area gives peace of mind with good company of people around.

Though we travel in car, luxury coaches, AC train, flights, finally the comfort we feel in just a normal walking cannot be derived from any of the above comforts, though it serves many urgent and emergency purposes.
