Default Change PIN numbers: Banks
CHENNAI: The rise in card cloning and fraud has led banks to put tighter security measures in place. Banks have started advising customers to change their personal identification numbers (PIN) and passwords frequently.

HDFC Bank recently sent a mailer to its customers advising them to use ATMs only for cash withdrawal. The bank has close to 400 ATMs in the city. "As there is a risk of compromise of confidential data of cards used at other bank ATMs, we advise you to change your ATM pin and preferably use HDFC Bank ATMs wherever possible," the email said.

========================================

Keep changing PIN nos more often. at least once a month. Don't use public internet cafes for any kind of money transactions. That's how you will save your hard earned money safe.
