@ Ramani,
I was always wondering how to read on the move. Specially Tamil novels in printed form are rare to find and carrying books around mostly during travel may be cumbersome. Then Steve Jobs gave the world the iPad. What a great invention. I don't have carry books with hundreds of pages around. One can download hundreds of books into this thin gadget that hardly a problem carrying around. Yes, since I do travel quite a lot, it's so much easy to read your favorite books when you are stuck in an Airport for connecting flights for hours. The iPad 2 is my latest toy. It makes you keep me well informed of the latest. Its the one with SIM unlocked + WiFi. Most airports provide WiFi in lounges and its free. Most food courts abroad provide WiFi. In fact, now I read more than ever before because the present day technology affords so much more convenience to do so. There are cheaper versions like Kindle, Kindle fire and many others available. They are cheaper but you do not need any if you are mostly at home. I have down loaded some novels like Ponniyin Selvan, Parthiban Kanavu. They are books I enjoyed reading many decades ago. They are good reading at any time any age. Thank you once again |

@Rajpriya:
Thanks. I am glad that you found the link useful to download and read Tamil novels. I see several others viewing the site. I wish at least some of the viewers could have the courtesy, just as you did, to respond and say how useful that posting was. Incidentally, I too got an iPad recently! |

@Rajpriya: I bought my iPad 2 in London a month ago when I also reported on this forum that I saw many from South India waiting in the Queue to buy iPhone 4S. I am sure you will enjoy using it specially when you are on the move. I have a micro SIM for Uk and another for Germany. I see you are posting interesting things that would enhance the value of this forum. We need to give all the support to Praveen to elevate the status of this forum more of an educational one. Praveen also must get a few good authors to post articles on subjects that affect our daily lives in Chennai to create an audience to participate in discussions on those points raised. You are doing a great job I can see. I hope more educated people will join us. One great thing is Praveen has understood the need for eliminating scammers from this forum. They do not add value at all. I hope you would continue to do what you are doing for the sake of doing because there are not many who know what to do. I never stop thanking because it costs me absolutely nothing and thank always from the bottom of heart. Rajpriya |

============================== I think Praveen should invite some of the prominent citizens of Chennai - like Cho Ramaswamy (Tughlak), T.R.Jawahar of News Today, N.Ram, just to name a few - to become members of the Chennai Forum and contribute to the Forum. |

Once again, you have beaten me to the punch. I was thinking about such things myself. Yes! The Forum needs prominence. With prominence most members will try to be more modest in posting things more respectable. We need keep pushing Praveen to the limits so that he comes out with his best for the sake of Chennaiforums standing out tall in the crowd. Rajpriya |
