it's more like not all colleagues had done a good job at explaining why not aim for the eyes.
![]() I was one of two teachers, out of 20 or 30 present, who got wet and enjoyed it. I don't know why the others didn't want to join this year. imagine having a hundred or so kids (aged 3 to 12) running after me ![]() |

![]() This is the second day of the Songkran holidays. These are two pictures that I took this morning at a special bathing ceremony. In the pictures are Kwanchai Wongnitikorn, the Governor of Samut Prakan Province. Most people think of waterfights when you say Songkran. But really, it is more to do with pouring rose scented water over Buddha images and the hands of your elders. I will post more pictures of this event that I went to today over at www.thai-blogs.com soon. They will then be archived at www.paknam.com. ![]() There are a lot of events going on every day now and it is hard to go to them all. Sometimes it is a bit hit and miss as you don't always know whether the event is really worth it until you go. Over the next few days I should have more pictures of blessing of Buddha images and elders, merit making at the temple, sand pagoda building, Songkran parade, releasing of fish and birds, Miss Songkran Beauty Contest and of course the water fights. Stay tuned for more pictures. And please post some of your own! |
