The tuk-tuk driver by the name of Burcha(..3450) is supposed to fetch me to specific places as agreed but each time during the journey he'll stop awhile say he needs a drink.I wonder whether he's calling his link.
Because I've been too friendly with him,he finally make a proposal to me. 1)Go to James Tailor(told to just act around or see catalogue) 2)Chin Jewelry(rama 5 rd)(to just see )-final point for him to get voucher. As I've said to him,"no buying, shopping" but only help him get the needed voucher. Can I know, how much worth is that voucher and what is it use for? He did not wait for me at the Golden Mountain despite me circling the area for an hour to locate him and then decided to walk back to Yaowarat without paying him any money. This high chapparal driver is he also part of the scam? |

Some shops would only pay a higher fee if the customer actually bought something. Other shops would pay if the customer looked serious, asked questions, drank the free Pepsi etc. I've no idea what they would pay today but probably not much different. If you have an arrangement with a driver and try to push the price too low, then he can try and make it up this way. If you're giving him a fair price for his time, he's just being greedy. You called this a 'scam', but how have you been scammed? You seem to know what's happening and the driver knows you know. |

Attempted scam being neutralise at the first destination of visit.Supposed to be Free Entry but need to pay so I told him no way and go to the next plan. The price of Baht40 to this tuk-tuk driver is not my negotiation but by the con-artist(Narong-tel ![]() Those voucher value you mentioned, quite lucrative for the driver.Never know.No wonder just dumped me at Golden Mount after his mission has accomplished. At James Fashion,do you believe just for Baht350 to make a pants in less than 24 hour. How about fabric price?Watchout for those tailors sitting at the right side as you enter the main entrance. They focus on me as I've spent more than 5 minutes feeling and looking at the same fabric.Just acting lol ![]() At the Chin Gems Gallery,if that promoter lady tries to hurry you to the next section, just peek into each of the big gemstones showcase and read slowly. She got fed up. ![]() Tuk-tuk man waiting impatiently for me near the casher counter but I already out in the toilet. I think tuk-tuk driver must buy me a drink for being a tourist actor. |
