On many University Campus young people are coming together in the evening playing Basketball.

Just go there and make new friends, no membership required.

Try sports city (Prachacheon) if you're in Bangkok. They have a indoor basketball court and lots of people playing every evening. Memberships required though.

If you are 6'6" you and you have even a little bit of coordination you should destroy the people on the court and everyone will want to be your friend. You will not even find sufficient competition. I played at the Sports City court about 3 times per week and there is not a single person who will be able to guard you let alone post a shot on you. But there are some good outside shooters and some guys that might be able to run around you.

The tallest guys I saw were maybe 6' and not much taller than that. No one tall that was coordinated and they play soft. At your height and the way they play, you could just run down the middle and dunk the ball every single time, I am not kidding. They wouldn't hae a chance.

There were one or two mixed guys. A few wide bulky guys but they would pose no challenge. The majority are skinny, about 5'7 and they play soft.

Very good recommendation. I played here on several occasions. There are not many indoor courts in BKK apparently but my friends say this one is the best. It does get a bit hot in there though it's AC'd. Many celebrities come here to work out.

Basketball in Thailand is very soft. There are some good players but there is a lot less contact than here in the states.

Near ABAC, actually closer to Ramkamhaeng there are some outdoor courts there and it's quite competitive. The better players were found here during my trip. Though the courts suck. There is also an indoor court there you can reserve but no AC.
