Does anyone know how much financial contribution Tiger has given to his family in Thailand? Someone in his position can give a lot but as intelligent and dignified as he is, I wonder how much he's doled out to his extended family.

I'd heard Tiger don't want anything to do with Thailand.

Pailin, I don`t understand where you are comming from with your comment about me using my "ignorance as a barometer" (I am not judging any one by my ignorance, I am just posting inquiring post, so as to learn about things that I don`t know about, about Thailand) then quoting many of my past posts, ...what are you trying to prove?
I agree with Pailin. You claimed you married a Thai wife and on numberous ocassions visited Thailand but you really sound ignorance about Thailand. And not just plain ignorance. It is like "INCREDIBLY" ignorance. I mean, the questions you asked is like what a total newbie will ask. Don't get me wrong, some are good questions but I don't suppose someone who'd married a Thai and had stayed in Thailand on numberous occassions will ask. Furthermore, if you really married a Thai, I suppose it'll be easy for you to find out answers of your questions.

Yes, but I'd heard Thailand had been offering him Thai citizenship or passport or something and he'd refused it. Don't sound like he's proud of being associated with Thai. Thats what I heard. Then again, I might've heard wrong.

In England if you asked anybody in the street to name a famous Thai person I think you would not get any replies.
There are some Thai people who are known but only to a select part of the population.
Football fans will have heard of Taksin as he is a major shareholder in Man City football club.Snooker fans will have heard of James Wattanna and Tenis players will have heard of Paradorn.
However I have never heard anyone describe Tiger Woods as Thai and I don't no any one other than people on this forum who would know who Tony Jaa is.

Hes known for being the first black golfplayer who achieved major success, not for being the first thai golfplayer who achieved major success.

Bucky my total time spent in Thailand is 7 weeks, most of that time around the house with my wife, and not understanding one word of Thai on Tv, radios, nor news papers....Now how much can you learn about a country you never been in before -in 7 weeks? and some of those posts were from my first visit to Thailand when I was a "Newbie"....and any way I was NOT using my ignorance as a barometer to judge anyone else, I was just asking questions about Thailand, and that`s what this web is for, and about. And yes I could find out answers to all those questions I asked here, on inter net, but is not it more fun when we all contribute what we know and have interresting posts?...And Bucky I am married to a Thai...You can check my profile and see I am telling the truth...

hunsolo, I appreciate that you want to learn about Thailand. I think it is your approach that comes off as obnoxious, though. Giant delcarative statements that Thailand doesn't have ______. Why don't you lead with a question. Does Thailand have _____? It's a completely different attitude.

...Have you seen one cemetery in Bangkok? Yes.

.Maybe you think that my posts are "ignorant" but they get more responses from readers than yours do Is that your goal?

....or at least don`t respond to me in irritable, negative way, as I don`t do to your posts?.... You are welcome to respond to my posts in any way that you please.

..as for Tony Jaa....he maybe popular to Thai kids but who ever heard him outside of Thailand?... I can only speak for my experiences, but here in Dallas Texas, at my university, the students love him.

He is amongst many of my son's friends and they have no connection with Thailand (mostly are fans of martial arts movies though)

So then he is not famous, just known amongst select people.Famous people are known by a large percentage of the public.

Well Thank you Nu ..for those kinds words.......but those fotos were compiled from my 3 trips to Thailand, (if you had enlarged one of them to have better view, you could see dates on some of those fotos, that they are taken at different times)...they were not taken all in one day,...Whether you could manage to visit those places in one day?...I could not tell you that with surety...maybe others who lived there longer could tell you that,...but my opinion is no,...that you could not visit all those place in one day-with leisure and enjoy the sights...

Oh I see, you didn't go to those places in one day. I guess what confused me was your captions under the photos...you know...the date 7-16 - 2007. I understand now that you explained it.
NU, I am viewing the photos very meticulously. You will be interested in what I have found out. Wait...
