Okay, so my Aunt is having a new baby (girl), & she has decided to name her 'Tasika' (after a lakorn character Several years ago there was a person whose surname was "Praatsajaaksatruu" ปราศจากศตรู which means "having no enemies" He was in the news because he had been shot dead in a hit job!! Our next door neighbour's surname is "Lok jarern Laap" โลกเจริ*ลาภ" which can be translated as "Progressive fortunate world Khwan is a fairly common nickname it ขวั* means spirit, or guardian spirit. When used with Khong eg ของขวั* it means "gift" The hair "whorl" on the head of Thai children is also called a Khwan. ตสิกา A girls name with no meaning as far as I know. |

For the name of daughter: ขวั* (kwan) or ลูกขวั* means ‘beloved child” or ขวั*ตาขวั*ใจ (darling or sweetheart) of parents.
จอมขวั* – beloved woman (ห*ิงอันเป็นที่รัก) I don’t watch lakorn, no idea how this name ‘Tasika’ spelt in Thai script, which is important to the meaning. If I guess, it might be ธสิกา (ta-si-ka), I met a few women with this name, but I am not certain of the meaning. Similar names: ทาริกา (ta-ri-ka) means "girl". รสิกา (ra-si-ka) means "the person who appreciates in poetry" |
