Hmmmm...could be the video was a fake as one of my friends suggested also. Those crafty girls are always out to deceive us....it seems a little too easy to jump to ones death. But it is not to say that other suicide videos are fakes. And I did hear in the news that there were many young suicides in Japan some years back...What language were those girls speaking?...was it English or Thai?..

Yes just a fake video. Suicide is a tragedy that should be avoided.

One that disturbed me most was 4 young girls/teenagers, who made pact to jump off a high rise building roof, they set up their own video-cam on the roof to tape them as they jump off the roof ledge. I could not see their faces, but they were wearing flip-flops as people in Bkk. do, and note to the video said that they were Asiatics, and by cameras showing other building around it appeared to me that it was Bkk....so all four of them got up on the legde and one after another jumped off with a scream...last one hesitated for few seconds...then she went off too...I felt very sad about these young girls whom Devil had deceived so badly,?

I searched liveleak for these videos. After I watched it, knew it had to be fake. I googled but couldn't come up with anything so I thought how did the 4 girls do it. Well, there is a view comments link at the bottom of the video. The simple explanation is that they jumped onto the balcony below, they didn't jump between the balconies. The last girl probably waited for her friends to move out of the way so that she wouldn't land on them.

I heard somewhere that Thailand has a high suicide rate amongst Teenagers and that it is quite common to jump from high buildings.

Maybe somebody can confirm.

Anyway I never give much for Statistics as I am not sure if all cases are reported properly.

Well,..I`m not sure about that subject of Churchill...but I think these stats are compiled from different sources and different governments and departments, so it is not easy to "doctor" them. But maybe Thailand has low suicide rate due to Buddhist upbringing, that is why I was curious as to how Buddhist society looks at suicides?

So those poor unfortunte mislead girls were probably Japanese-where rash of suicides occured some years back....But how do Thais look at suicides?..is that an shameful act?..an unforgivable act?..a cowardly act?...or each case is different and some can be accepted?
