Default Stuffing a Triangle Pillow
I am finally getting around to stuffing a triangle pillow that I bought in Bangkok last year. I went to my local fabric store to find some suitable filling. Does anyone have suggestions? It seems like it is going to be a challenge to find something stiff enough..... unless I just pack it in very dense.

Has anyone stuffed their own triangle pillow before?

I guess there are a lot of fire safety laws in the USA that limit what you can stuff a cushion/pillow with as in the UK, which limits choices. I would suggest you contact a company that does furniture upholstery and see if they can advise.

Yea, I think I'm going to have to end up doing that. I was hoping to be crafty (and cheap) and trying it myself. I'm about 1/2 way through of trying it with many layers of heavy quilting batting (rolled into tubes).... I guess I'll see how that goes.

*The one I have is stuffed with ,ah errrr ,dried stalks of some sort. Maybe rice stalks.

*If you are not going to sell it I guess you can be creative.

*They actually have a kit or something to make your own triangle pillow?

* What is the correct name? I heard it before but forget.

*All I have ever seen for sale is the complete stuffed pillow or the unstuffed outer cover-which makes it a bit easier to fit in the suitcase!

OK, I asked my wife and she said that they stuff em with Kapok, as you know it grows all over over here, across the road in front of our house is a bunch of then growing down the road and when they are ripe and bust open there are a lot of folks come and gather them up to stuff pillows with..
If it was legal I could send you a bunch of em.

Hmm...I knew it was something unusual!

I have one that came stuffed...it's about 18 years old and still as firm as the day I bought it. I did buy the unstuffed kind last year to try and save on packing. My attempts have it stiff for now, but I'm not sure how long that will last....

Thanks for the info....

I don't think Kapok grows over there, I remember when they were trying to find a sub. for it during the war as it was used as flotaion in life jackets, I would hate to have to stuff anything with it as it is full of seeds that need to be taken out, just the same as cotton taken off the plant.
