Loy Krathong pictures in Singapore can? Hee....
Celebrated it at Kallang River, but too bad it's a bit quiet, but nevertheless it's still rather interesting to celebrate this beautiful festival outside Thailand!

I'm having problems downloading pix from my camera, but I hope to sort it out tomorrow. I have quite a few hundred photos.

Attached are some photo I took in BKK.

1. Singaporeans on board ChaoPhayo River Cruise celebrating birthday on LoyKrathong day.

What beautiful kratongs, Anatta! Very natural. The Kratongs here at my temple are styrofoam and garish....but we do what we can, being so far away.

Wow, Anatta, that really does suprise me. I really do think they are a piece of art and yours is really nice. I never considered, not even once, using anything in my mothers garden for a piece of art like that (1) my mother would have my head and 2) I am not quite the artistic type) but nonetheless, very glad to see others make them! Also, great to see that with so many people sending krathongs down the river, a greater percentage this year was natural materials which really does help out the environement...

I have only managed to cover events up to the first parade in my blog so far (all pics taken on Nov 4 Sat), but more are coming along as I have time to convert, upload and post.
(move your mouse over the text or pix to make the post visible. I know the template is messed up, trying to fix it.)

thank you. I guess it's difficult to make very bad pics in Thailand, especially when it's sunny :-) I struggle a lot with nighttime shoots though. I'll post the link to the new instalment as soon as I get a post together on krathongs.

My God, Betti--your photos are just awesome! Your layout, the lighting, the interplay of colors, the choice of subject--everything was just so professionally and artistically done. Thanks for sharing them.
