As for those who do not want to serve, yes, it's true, jury duty doesn't pay. But manipulating the system to avoid it, leaving the dirty work to others, shows a lack of commitment to democracy.

I put the rights of my life first, or any individual first, so long as that individual does not harm others, over the right of many people to control my life second,. I put the commitment to my self first, I do however support democracy second over the alternative of having a dictator.
I am not a patriotic person, so I can not be controled by governents or groups.
