For some reasons, I find young Chinese Thai in Thailand relunctant to admit they're Chinese? And they seen proud they're not able to speak a word of "teochew" or "mandarin"? They like to insist they're 100% Thai? Ya, of cos I know they are Thai..... |

hmmmm... Chinese... there're Chinese Chinese, Chinese Thai, Chinese Vietnam, Chinese American, Chinese African, Chinese European, Chinese Malaysian, Chinese Indonesian, Chinese Singapore, Chinese Phillipines, Chinese Hong Kong, Chinese Taiwan, etc etc and I don't think they'll agree with you that "they're the same". I mean the Nationality. Not the ethnic. Thai Chinese, Malaysian Chinese, American Chinese etc. that you mentioned are not born in China. So they are Malaysian, Thai, American etc. The chinese i refferd to is the CHINESE. MAINLAND CHINA!!! ![]() |
