Hi / ΚΗΡΚ΄Υ€ΓΡΊ
(I hope this is an appropriate thing to write - sorry if it is not). My two very good friends are two monks from Laos who have been monks and in Thailand since childhood. They are both about 30 now and wish to stop being monks. They wish to stay in Thailand and not go back to Laos. They are very good people with excellent English and obviously high standards of ethics and morals. They are now looking for jobs. They will do any work. I am looking for jobs for them, but would appreciate any help. I think they can get visas to stay. One is from a small village near Luang Prabang and another from a small village near the Plain of Jars. I met them both at Monk Chat in Chiang Mai many years ago - they were quite an influential part of monk chat and they have helped me work with volunteer Australians before. They are both currently doing projects in small remote villages in the North of Thailand, although their 'home' monastery is in Chiang Mai. Both have degrees from the Buddhist University. They are really good people, but this step into the lay people's world is a massive step for them and isn't easy. I would love to help them and would love for someone to help me. Anyone want a private English teacher or Child minder or anything???? They will work in restaurants, farms, anywhere. Thanks |
