It says 12th August here because I have the forum calendar set to default. Maybe you have the forum on UK time? In Thailand it is nearly 13th August but you are 12th August? Not sure.

Ah, never thought of that. I have the Forum set to BST but I assumed that events in the calendar would be displayed for the correct 'number' day and not adjusted, effectively making it 18 hours early rather than six late.

I just clicked on it in the calendar entry which I haven't before, and it actually says if you are not on Bangkok time it will display on the wrong day. I will have to bear this in mind for future events.
