I know it from an experienced friend that the first thing to check is how many months you need to sign, as many places require minimum 2-3-4 months of stay, which limits possibilities.

on checking the web now, it seems very fancy places like to call themselves "serviced apartment" (1000 usd and up).

and I found this description about the searching experience by a foreigner, contains lots of links to actual places and agencies that might be useful for starting your search.

Default what kind of lodging for a month in BKK?
I am planning to spend 1 month or so in BKK later this year. Which kind of place to stay should I get? A 'serviced apartment', or? Which site or newspaper or any other way would be best to find such a place?
thank's for any suggestion!

I usually just look for and find a nice guest house to stay at,,some are very nice and you have to look a little sometimes. Some also have apts. to let for short stays.
