Yeah im doing an essay on Thailand and i never been there so i dont know any economic or environmental issues in Thailand, i've visited a few sites and it kind of helps but not that much so if any of you know then it will be a big help!

Well, I would have to say, that Bangkok has the worst air pollution of any City I have been to in recent years, It reminds me of Los Angeles in the bad old day's when cars had little restrictions on automobile exhaust emissions .

Air pollution is very bad all over Thailand and no one seems to care, it is bad in BKK but it is also very bad in Chiang Mai, seems worse every time I go up there and there is more automobiles and traffic congestion every year, They burn the garbage on the roadsides where it is thrown or dumped by most people.
They have been talking about unleaded gasoline for the last few years but no one seems to be doing anything about it.

Every where you look in the evenings out in the villages, everyone is burning trash on the sides of the streets and in yards, before the drought there was always brush fires in the forests and along the roads, but has been to dry for anything to grow for the last couple of years or it would be that way now as there seems to be no burning controls or they are like the traffic laws here and not enforced.
