Yup like Betti said maybe it is that one you are thinking of and the latest news about it is her parents have flown out there to appeal for the murderer/s to give themselves up, it is very big news this in England at the moment as it was an English girl as well.

there was a murder a few days ago on Ko Samui, some 1200 km away from here, the one you seem to be referring to.

Chiang Mai is a peaceful place, it does not have such a bad reputation as Ko Samui for theft, pickpocketing and other crimes. (there seem to be more and more complaints all over the internet from people who have visited that island.) we had a motorcycle gang knocking down people two years ago at nights, but it's gone now, it's the worst wave of violence in recent times I have heard of. I would guess your chances of getting kidnapped and killed are higher just about anywhere in the "civilised" world.

Is there any news about they students being kidnaped, raped and then killed by gangs right now (chiang mai) and it has been reported couple times or something? have anyone seen news about this or heard any news on tv.

someone told me this and I want to be sure what I've heard was real or not
