I think you forgot the -ra part, right?
ÍѨ©ÒÃÒ It should be ÍѨ©ÃÒ (ÍÑ´-©Ð-ÃÒ / at-chah-ra)

For ÍÑÊÃÒ (at sah ra), I can't find the meaning.

Hey folks, thankyou so much for helping out!
I bow to djaidee's knowledge and take pleasure (and a measure of relief!) from knowing that my hearing has perhaps not failed me after all!
Now I hope someone may know if it has a meaning in Thai. Any takers?

Regards as always....

Default What does this thai name mean?
Hi all,

I've recently met someone who has the romanised thai name Atsara. I wondered how to write it in Thai and if it has a meaning as many other names do?

Regards as always...

ÍÑÊÃÒ

is pronounced At-Sa-Raa

Ê has 2 Functions; it is the "Ending Consonant" of the First Syllable and at the same time the "Starting Consonant" of the Second Syllable with an hidden Short "a".
You find this in many Thai Words that 1 Consonant has these 2 Functions.

Couldn`t find a meaning so; maybe a native Thai Speaker could help.

Hi folks... Gosh, didn't realise it would be this tricky... but, fate steps in to help and after posting my question I got a card from the lady concerned who signed off as ÍÑÊÃÒ
... (or rather that's my best guess at her handwriting)
Does that make sense? If so how should it be promounced and does it have a meaning?
Thanks for all the help by the way... it is much appreciated!!

Unless you are missing a consonant in ÍÑÊÃÒ, it would be pronounced Atra.
Maybe someone can look up the meaning?

I think ÍÑÊÃÒ has meaning. You may not find every thai name in dictionary. But Thai Name Dictionary (˹ѧÊ×͵Ñ駪×èÍ) may have it, let's try.

Thanks Deejaidee! I did not realize that it could do both at the same time.

So I would ÍѨÒÃÒ produce the same result as ÍѨ©ÒÃÒ (as I added earlier) ?
