I'm considering whether to get the game or not, but am worried about the level of lag issues and whether I can get into US servers from Thailand.

Well, it also depends on your server specifications. I used to play another MMORPG; European and American servers were easily accessible from Thailand. However, I can't get to them from the university server that I'm using now. (Same with chatrooms and MSN, but that's another topic).

If you know that your server admins allow such traffic, then it's probably safe to assume that you can play the game. If you are not sure, ask.
