Exactly,we don't get hot summers either in the UK.Whenever and wherever you go in Thailand for you and I it will seem very hot.I don't think people realise how poor are summers can be!!!

Being from Florida, I am cold if it drops below 70F. I guess everything is relative.

About 20C would be considered cold, and 30+ would be confortable.

The north east will be hot during the day and evening,it is only late at night and early morning that the temperature drops. When I went people said the weather would be cool, however coming from England their cool weather was hot for me.Autumn in Holland must be very warm compared to autumn England!!! I would think that the weather would be more like a hot Dutch summer.

I have looked at the 5 day forecast for chiang mai and it was 18-19 degrees at coldest and 30-31-32 degrees at hotest. So rest assured you will be hot and will not need to many layers, certainly not during the day or evening.

Northeast and North ( mainly the highlands ) will be very cooling by now, according to my friend in Korat.

It can get cool, especially at night. I would plan for standard Holland autumn weather.

Wear conservative clothing. Don't expose too much leg or your belly button. Other than that, I would go for a layered look. The temperatures are likely to go up and down throughout the day and night.
