I figured I'd put it in a new topic because most of what was disscussed was a long time ago. I'm just curious what is involved.
To lay the situation down, I live and work in thailand (though I'm currently in England for two weeks) but I'm planning on moving back to England permanently in the next six months. I also want my girlfriend to go with me. From what I have seen of these visa things they always seem to have stuff like 'show that you have enough money in your bank to support the thai person indefinately'. Now, I don't know how much they are looking for, but I know the amount in my bank won't qualify. She would most likely be getting a job nursing over here so I wouldn't even be fully supporting her anyway. |

you will need to be in regular paid employment,a letter of proof from your employer stating how long you have worked for them and your annual salary. You will also have to produce bank statements and proof of home ownership or rental agreements. My wife had to apply for her marriage visa, but this was about 11 years ago,so things might of changed. If you do not meet all the credentials then you will not get a visa and you will lose the fee which is if i remember well over 100 quid
