Hi all,

I would like to ask what is the average cost to hold a wedding in Thailand?

By the way, do Thai go through the traditional wedding cermony or they now observe modern wedding cermony?

Yup! You are right. It's best to get some who just got married to help me. And the first person i think of is Nattawud!! But anyone here is welcome to give advise/comments too.

hi bro, mine friend from singapore also jus get married to a thai girl not long ago! he say that it cost more than $1500O! it include giving some of the money to the girl family and feast for the guest! btw do u think only 20 guest will come to yrs ceremony? of course no, the more guest coming to yrs ceremony, the more happy the girl's family will be! if u need help, jus mes me and i ask my friend abt it! all the best to u , cheers::

I have a wedding related question. I live in the U.S. and one of my Thai friends has invited me to his wedding in Bangkok. Do soon-to-be wedded couples in Bangkok register at Department Stores (for wedding gifts) like we do in the U.S.? Or do wedding guests give money to the newly weds as gifts?

What are you looking for? Do you want to marry a Thai woman and have a traditional Thai wedding or are you looking for a wedding package for foreigners.

If it be the latter then I surgest that you contact any reputable travel agent who will help you and give you a complete breakdown of costs.

For a traditional wedding, costs vary accordingly to the family of the bride and the negotiations held.
I wed my Thai fiancee last month and the cost of this made a very large dent in my bank account. A good guide of what to expect would be to look up Gor's world on this site. Gor's world is a good guide to life in Thailand and prepared me on what to expect but please take into account that the change in region then the change of expectations and customs.
