You will need to buy a transformer. Best to buy in America. You probably can buy one here but you might waste time looking.

You shouldn't have a problem. Do you have a small black box between your laptop and the power socket? Take a look at the bottom and you might see something like 100-240V. If it does it means you can use it both in the US and Thailand. You will then just need a plug adaptor.
