As per a notification issued by the headquarters of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), entry of visitors to the domestic and international terminal has been banned from August 7 to August 20, sources at the airport said.

On account of Independence Day, it is a routine procedure every year to forbid visitors from entering the terminals for security reasons. It was also decided during a special security committee meeting that the unauthorised parking of vehicles in close proximity to the terminals would not be allowed.
