Default When will the envelops stop burning? (off-topic)
Dear fellow Kendoka,

Thank you for all the input from everybody. And most of all thank you KW staff, it's been a great forum for information/interaction among kendoka across the world.

Although I'm not the forum admin, and I do not believe I've the right to stop people talking.... within the last few days some of the threads have gone a bit lengthy... If it's within the discussion, fine. If it's personal afternoon small talks/flirts.... Please control yourself.... I would say, please use the "General Discussion" section or use Private Messaging. The lengthy threads (many of them off-topic) causes difficulties to find the appropriate information.
It's really enjoyable to see people responing to different opinons from the others. Maybe as a frequent message-posting user I shouldn't tell the others to stop. But I'm pretty surprised to see 20+ burning envelops... only to discover later on that they;ve gone so irrelevent at the end.

I would like to see if the others agree. (both the frequent post-ers and not-so-active ones)

Onegai-shimas~

Thanks Mingshi. It's been really gratifying to see so many people taking advantage of the forum, but we may need to apply a bit of order every now and then.

Alex and myself may start to cull or move extraneous posts that do nothing to enhance the topic of conversation, as there have been some really good threads that have seemed to disappear into nothing. (not enough beer, I think! )

Chat room could be a good idea, I'll have a look round and see what's available. In the meantime, make the best use of the "general discussion" area.

Sorry, but you know how it is. This forum is a kendo forum but after a while you come familiar with fellow members and it becomes like a chat session.

I skip most of what doesn't look interesting.

/meagrees.

It's great to have an active community but it's also nice when the conversations are in the appropriate places... at least most of the time (a little thread drift can most certainly be appropriate at times). There have been some high quality discussions on this board, lets keep it that way.

Cheers.

I totally agree...I just hope some people don't think that it was purposely intended to cause chaos or whatever. Furthermore, I think a chat room would bee nice too...

Thanks Mingshi

Likewise I didnt want to stamp on anyone - its great to see how popular this forum has become, and is remaining to be. However you can go to end of most of the threads nowadays and not know what the topic is supposed to be. Some of the idle chat is quite fun to read, but I do hanker for a bit of serious Kendo info at times - this forum can be quite a resource.

KendoWorld bods - is there scope for a chatroom here or should people chat elsewhere?

I think if we would want to have a chat room about kendo..
It shouldn't be included on this website.
I'm afraid it will make the forum less popular, and also the interesting stuff that we (not me) write about would fade.

Someone should make one at msn.com or whatever, shouldn't be directly link to www.kendo-world.com.

I don't know if anyone understand my point, I try to be the most understable possible.....(but my english sucks)
