Are the mags also good for teemage readers (about thirteen) 'cos i've thought that they looked good for a while but didn't know whether i was to young to understand the concepts and language used.

3.2 is just about ready for printing. Sorry for the delay!!!

In September KW will have a gasshuku for all the writers and contributors to work on the magazine. We should be able to start catching up with our original schedule.

i just looked at it on the site and it looks extremely interesting. seems a bit expensive so before i put my colege savings into it, i want to ask a few questions.

1. about how long are the magaznes?

2.how in-depth are the articles?

3. how expensive would it be to order the back sets? (i live in washington by the way)
Hi Dominic / Piggy-San

KW Mag is totally different to any other MA mag that I have come across.

The articles are very well-written and are very well-informed.

The Mag tends to run to about 80-90 pages of which there are usuallt 2-3 pages of ads.

The articles vary from 1-2 pages to 10 pages depending on the subject. Some of the more complex subjects may run over more than one issue.

Ref costs of back issues, check out https://kendo-world.com/magazine/sub...cription_e.htm

Ref contents of the difefrent issues, check out http://www.kendo-world.com/magazine/issues.php

Ref Subscribing to the Mag, check out: http://www.kendo-world.com/magazine/index.php

I should point out that I do not have any connection with KW Mag, except as a subscriber, nor do I have ant connection with KW Forum, except as a member... (I just realised that this was starting to sound like an ad for the Mag...!)

cheers

One more question, do the magazines come in every 3 months then? What if I also order the back issues, do they come all together? Thanks!
Hi Mugu-San

Yes, you are correct... the mags come every 3 months (although they sometimes arrive a bit late, but when you see the amount of work that goes into each edition you will understand why!!!).

The back issues come from a different place but they all come in one parcel if you order the lot (which I really do recommend!!!)...

Cheers

Hi Inuyasha-San

The articles are pretty much aimed at adult readership, but if you flip through the mgazine then you should find something to interest you.

Your best plan is to order one recent back issue and see what you think before you subscribe...

Hi S....

KW Mag is the best MA mag that I have ever come across.

There is a blend of competition news (from around the World), articles about technique and Philosophy, articles about the history of Kendo anf Japanese swordsmanship, interviews with senior Sensei and some really excellent articles about Kendo related medical concerns (blisters, leg injuries etc...).

The mag has very few ads, and these are all Kendo-related...

Well worth subscribing to... and I would also recommend investing in all of the back issues as they have great articles that don't lose their relevance with the passage of time.

Unfortunately, the only one you can't get is Volume 1, Issue 1...which is actually one I would really like to get hold of as it has an article about Achilles Tendon injuries... Anyone got a copy they want to sell?

Cheers...
