Dude, this is a Kendo forum and people here are quite happy with their kendo.
If you want to tout the superiority of your system, make a website and post your secret swordarts there, make a forum and discuss your superiority there.

We have kendo, naginata as well as seitei iai and kenjutsu (taught by a real japanese sensei who learned this stuff from his father - geniune kenjutsu secrets wuwu) at our dojo.
Some people crosstrain, some have only one art and noone would ever tout the superiority of what he does over that of the other arts, unless he's a true poltroon.

no offence meant (well some but not much)
i know im only young, and a girl-but swordteacher99, you come across as a right w@nker.
part of the budo way is to be humble and show others the respect that you would like to recieve. im guessing you dont aim to be respected by others.

so how big is your ego in comparison to say mt kilimanjaro

hehe

i know my failings. that is being humble.
my way is to learn as much as possible. to do this, i must follow the budo way as much as is possible to not conflict with my christian beliefs. as a 12 year sword teacher do you not follow the budo way? to not do so would surely be hypocritical.

twinkle twinkle little star what you say is what you are if you say it back to me you're a chimpanze. see? i can be childish too.

its sooo easy to get you to bite its fun.

whats 'Bi Nay Elle Disada' anyways? google came up with nothing. could you be an illegitimate fake yourself?

anyways, we seem to be getting off topic here-something that happens quite a lot in a thread that you post in.

i dont do kenjutsu, but im guessing that as it teaches sword work, then the spirituality and philosophy would reflect such. good old book of the 5 rings may help. easy as it is to read-not.

Swordteacher99.

Many posts in one day, am happy to see that kendoworld has got such an enthusiastic new member. It will be entertaining to follow the posts of such an experienced fellow budoka. Your seniority has been clearly stated in your posts, and your userprofile has also an air of authority.

It would be interesting to know what koryu you study, under which teacher.

Roar, you don't believe a word of what you just said. Enthusiastic is not the word, won't say the word, can you say insincere, dinsingenuous? LOL.
Oh no, he sees straight trough me

I guess you have sharpened your spiritual faculties over the years through your tireless endeavors in kenjutsu.

I dont mind you answering the question though. There is kenjutsu and there is kenjutsu, just need a drawer that you might fit in.

I wouldnt use that broad generalisations, they are pretty useless.

I heard a nice definition of humour once: "humour is the sublimation of melancholy"- one should never joke with humour, at its core, it is the human soul just begging the existence for mercy.
Pretty much like the souls of everyone logged on at KW is begging for mercy at the arrival of swordteacher 99 today.

Ah, but you also know that, with your attitude and way of asking that no one would feel inclined or wish to answer, since I have nothing to prove to anyone, and answering the way you asked would only be to prove something, and not because you asked to be friendly, you must know the difference. Goodbye.
You yourself has done some talking, why not in all openness share what "you have been walking." Evading the question in this manner can really make you wonder. Or stop wondering.

Except that, I actually am a swordteacher, lol, have been for 12 years, ... They're so cute when they lie like that!
So, if you've been teaching for 12 years, that means that you started when you were 2? Or was it 3? You can't possibly be more than 15 judging by the idiocy and ignorance of your posts, and by the goofy pictures on your site. How did you manage to learn enough by the age of three to start teaching sword? Are you actually baby Stewie from Family Guy? Did you learn the sword from trying to kill Mummy?

Their web site initially looks very good, with lots of information on general history (the history of Shinkage-ryu, however, has a lot of glaring holes), the techniques in the photos leave a bit to be desired, and I couldn't find anything about the sensei, not even a name, or who he trained with. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough, but that's usually an early warning sign.

Head over to www.e-budo.com and ask the same question there. A quick search on Noble House kenjutsu on their board and the responses there, particularly from Meik Skoss, probably one of the most experienced and qualified practitioners of Shinkage-ryu outside Japan, don't lend themselves to confidence in the legitimacy of the school.

If you want a challenge, I would recommend you give kendo a go. Its easy to find legitimate schools in Canada, and their level is very good. The basis of all kenjutsu schools is person to person combat, kendo is no different.

Kensjutsu, .., is superior, ..
And by "superior" he means "totally ninjer sweet", cause chicks dig 440 stainless steel.

Hi Dark Protector,

Good. You found this site. Welcome to the forum, by the way. You will be able to learn lots more about Kendo here. This forum is a valuable resource, especially if you decide to take up Kendo. I still recommend visiting the Kendo dojo. Have fun, if you do!

Anyway, I'm off. Let us know what you end up doing.

Default The spiritual and philosophical side of Kenjutsu
Your question would require a pretty long response! But a lot of the spiritual and philosophical side of things depends on who's teaching rather than the art itself.

There's a lot of crap kenjutsu out there taught under the cover of 'mystical, spiritual Japanese swordsmanship.' You're on much safer ground with kendo. What are you looking for? Better for what purpose? Why kenjutsu in particular, why not kendo?

I think Noble House's instructor's name is Yan. I don't recommend them. If you're in Edmonton or area (where Noble House is), go with the Edmonton Kendo Club.

If you're not in Edmonton, tell us where you are so that we can help you find proper instruction.
