the only handicap is, finding a good conan-ryu dojo is extremely difficult. and since o-sensei schwaertzerznigga is ma governator now, he stopped teaching the arts.... so sad. but its ok. you can always join some good ol' baseball lessons and swing this babe like a bat. awesommmmmeeeeeee.

btw, a conan sword replica in toledo should be around 150-200 U.S. dollars. cheaper than a uzi!

Well my mate he lives in east end of glasgow and its one of the worst knife areas in Glasgow(in Scotland), which has higher murder rate than Belfast and 1100 knife attacks in 2003. You can't get a gun to defend yourself unless your involved in crime and theres a lot of sword attacks as well. The particular area he lives in is extremely dangerous and he is financially stuck to it.

Well i went to karate once and i couldnt stand all the stuff about salutation and some guys are "higher" than others as in black belts and shit and i thought that it was a kind of ego trip, whereas in boxing you just train and spar and learn and no one gives a shit they just try to improve and become better boxers. So i was wondering if sword fighting places are like this.

And also, by quickest, i meant like most efficient, so not just like a bunch of injuring but non-lethal attacks, more like 1 or 2 attacks resulting in instant death or unconsciousness.

What i mean is an atmosphere more like a boxing gym than a karate club, where you just learn and practice and nothing else.

Look into getting into the US military special forces or British SAS, depending on your citizenship

Self defence, if where you live is as bad as downtown Bagdhad, get a telescopic baton. As for fighting with a sword, you'll get arrested and thrown in jail. Just avoid the troublespots.
