Hey everyone. It has been a while since I have posted.

onegai shimasu derives from the verb onegai suru, which I believe meant "saying please", but, as with many japanese verbs, all depends on the situation.

Oh, that is interesting to know the meanings behind onegai shimasu. It has a different meaning beyond the actual word. Nothing I can think of in English right now though, I would like to learn some more though.

What one of my Japanese friends told me, it means roughly, "Give me your experience so that I can grow." Not in a literal translation, though.

Doozo (do-oh-zoh) is "please".

Just don't say "kudasai"......that's a demand.

I understood that onegai suru, literally, was to pray for help.
So in common use it is a very polite request for assistance.
