Default Anywhere i could find a 45" Bokken w/o paying 100$+?
hi, im looking for a wooden sword like the "Yanagi bokken" that i see on the kingfisher site, unfortunatly its 170$, and thats a bit more then im willing to pay for a wooden sword.

i like the length of the hilt and cant find anything over a 10" for under 20$

anyone know where i can find a bokken with a 12" or more tsuka for a reasonable price.

also if anyone has any great sites for bokkens in bulk please let me know.

Thanks
-Grasshopper

Heres the bokken i saw on kingrishers site..

Check out this link:

http://www.aikiwood.com

I think they are 41" with 13" tsuka. They will also custom make bokuto.

Just as a testimonial... I have an Itto, Daito and Tanto from Aikiwood and they are all absolutely stunning... Only problem is that there is no Tsuba... but that's okay if your only using them at home on your own or displaying them...

Cheers

You can buy tsubas elsewhere though and file them to fit. Aikiwood will make them to fit a tsuba if you ask.

I had Kingfisher make a bokuto to match my 2.75 iaito - 46 inches long total. My custom Jo is longer - made to fit my body.

I use one of these. 14" tsuka. It takes a little work to get a tsuba on ( i had to file down the inside of a leather tsuba to get it on).

What does your sensei say about that?
People who train in hiten mitsurugi ryu don't have a sensei. There uber intelligence and physical fitness is all they need.

Take a look at this thread
