For some reason my post editing tool wouldn't work, so I couldn't edit the instuctions. When you vote you MUST also post wich dojo you are from to prevent people from the same dojo voting (I know you can see who voted, but people from your dojo may not know your username). I know the percentage method is still slightly flawed, but this is the best that I can get without asking you all to email me with the exact amount of girls and boys in your dojo (my comp is way slow and it would cause havoc with my system, I'm sure that you can understand). Thankyou for your help once again!

I attend the Purdue Kendo dojo.

Whatever survey you do, it will be flawed. This is just something that you can put in your report though.

Some dojo might have 50% female but only have 4 people in the group yet a dojo that has 50 people might have 1% female or something so it all depends on size.

Yeh, It's good if my survey has some flaws because I looked at the marks scheme and I can get like 3 extra points for mentioning my mistakes and ways to stop them next time

The dojo I attend is feminist. It's one of the few koryu dojo's in the area with a good reputation.

Tachi

I also am not able to post often. But I did make a silly reference to being on a farm on an earlier post. I want to clarify that it was silly reference to make light of a serious situation.

um...i know of only about 2 other people from my dojo of about 20-ish people that post on this forum and they haven't been on for awhile. our dojo is about 50 something percent female, but almost all of the people in bogu are male. Matsu Kai dojo, under Bruce Campbell - affiliated/branch dojo of Sunrise Kendo Club.

The dojo I polled is iaido. With the thread listed as a poll in lounge, I thought it was of all sword arts. I now have second thoughts on whether it is strickly kendo. If so, sorry.

Hi!

Welcome to the forum!

What dojo is it called? There are no legit Kenjutsu dojos in Minnesota that I am aware of. What Ryu is it? Who is your sensei? What is Akitoho Iaido also. Never heard of it. A search should have turned up something, but it didn't. That's not a Koryu. All things Koryu are over 100 years old and were created before 1868 with a proven lineage. Just curious...

I'm from the Minnehaha Kendo Club in Minnesota.

We have 3 of us girls currently in the dojo, and one away at college. I don't know what percetage that is. We have like, 10-15 people on a good day. I am bad at Math. Sorry! I'd vote if I knew what percentage to put.

(I'm a musician, not a mathmatician! And no, not all musicians are good at math. hehehe... I hate numbers! They hate me too... )
