Default Collapsible swords
Hi Friends, i have only just registered to Kendo-world yesterday and i am really interested in the world of swords....currently i own a Tai Chi collapsible sword and i was hoping you guys can teach me about maintenance of a sword. i was told that i should use Wd-40 to oild my sword. Does anyone else have any good advise or tips to help me out?
One more thing, when i want to retractr my swrod blade back to it handle is there a specific method? cuz it kinda hurts when i push the blade into the handle with my hand.; Well that it for now.

P/S: Anyone out there own a collapsible sword i hope that we can share a great many thinngs about the sword and all.

Hi swordman_nel,

You have come to strange place to be asking about retractable chinese swords. This forum usually consists of JSA practictioners of Kendo and Iaido and Naginata. We don't get a lot of questions like these. Someone told you wd-40 and I'm not sure they were being serious (could be). If you want the best possible advice on this matter I suggest searching http://forums.swordforum.com/index.php Go down to the swordsmanship forums and have at it.

Hope you find what you are looking for. If you have any questions reguarding the Japanese Sword Arts please dont hesitate to ask us or search topics using the search function.

J,

If you owned one of these as a serious teacher then that just sums you up.

swordteacher99, I like your quote:

"If one practices Kendo they should not be commenting on Kenjutsu, simple"

But this is for you:

"If you practice swordwork, you can't comment on anything. Simple."
