Hi Friends, i have only just registered to Kendo-world yesterday and i am really interested in the world of swords....currently i own a Tai Chi collapsible sword and i was hoping you guys can teach me about maintenance of a sword. i was told that i should use Wd-40 to oild my sword. Does anyone else have any good advise or tips to help me out?
One more thing, when i want to retractr my swrod blade back to it handle is there a specific method? cuz it kinda hurts when i push the blade into the handle with my hand.; Well that it for now. P/S: Anyone out there own a collapsible sword i hope that we can share a great many thinngs about the sword and all. |

Hi swordman_nel,
You have come to strange place to be asking about retractable chinese swords. This forum usually consists of JSA practictioners of Kendo and Iaido and Naginata. We don't get a lot of questions like these. Someone told you wd-40 and I'm not sure they were being serious (could be). If you want the best possible advice on this matter I suggest searching http://forums.swordforum.com/index.php Go down to the swordsmanship forums and have at it.
