The sollution to this might be giving them their own account on the computer which they can do with what ever they please, ofcourse with suiting user rights.

You should have password protected your account which would have prevented the lil one to get into yours.

I know I shouldn't be talking either as I'm also using the admin account on my XP myself but there aren't any lil ones permanently harressing this household which makes my computers safe from them and if any comes in my room I'm usually around to trow them out or supervise them on their actions.

I'll be safe till this lil guy get interested in other things then spongebob.

I also have my parents systems to protect and they just surf which is even more dangerous as they just click on anything that looks interesting, you know the type of internet surfers, "i'm online but i have no clue what i'm doing" So for them I've been using spybot search and destroy http://www.spybot.info/ , which is really great against spyware and for free.

Registry Mechanic http://www.pctools.com/ , which is really needed because they install so much that I later have to deinstall which otherwise would pollute their registry.

Antivir http://www.avira.com/en/solutions/private.html , which is an antivirus sollution from a German firm that's for free and covers better then Symantec or McAffee while asking less system resources.
One problem thou, if you install this program while having Symantec still on your system installed you might crash it cause the 2 programs will fight each other.

I managed to get the bookmarks back by using google and other search sites. I think ill take your advise and use all those programs (I already use spybot). What is Symantec though?

Just so you know, when you send a digital video over the internet there is a deal called SHA-1 (secure hash algorithm) which genreates a digital signature which is like a fingerprint, no two are the same. Even if you erase the orignal the digital signature can still be found which can then be matched up with known porno videos. Not a problem unless they are know kiddy porn then you might have a problem because NSA (national security agency) has a bot like program that they have made available to various law enforcement agencies that searches the net looking for these digital signatures then they can find the IP address that sent them and the one that received them. Then they get the service provider to tell them who had that IP address that day. Get the picture?

I can only hope that he didn't end up in a child porno site then. It's not like the kid knows what he's doing, he just put random web sites like "sex.com" stuff like that.
