Default Kendo journals
Does anyone else here keep a kendo journal or something to document their training? I have a blog and it helps me remember what to improve on. Does anyone else besides me and Kaori do this?

I have a leatherbound diary that I get each kendoka I meet to sign. Most notable so far is Hirakawa Sensei, Ando Sensei and Eiga Sensei...along with other naughty fellows.

Yes, I keep a journal. Look in it before I train to pick something to focus upon.

Thats a good idea...
BTW, my father was in your area for business. I told him to drop by and say hi.

I keep a journal of things I need to work on and how the practice went. Also, I have a tape recorder now to record other various things I may need for kendo like pronunciation or stuff like that.

I used to have a beginners' guide from another dojo that a friend gave me. There was a personal notes section in the back that I thought was invaluable. The next day at work or lunch whilst I could still remember I'd write down everything I knew I needed to work on. Also I'd read it periodically so I wouldn't overlook something 'small' that I needed to work on cos I was distracted by a bigger technique error. Unforutnatley I lost it in one of my many, many moves late last year.

Malaysia. He doesn't do kendo now because he says he's too old but he still talks about joining sometime. The reason he was over there was because his company came up with this airport security pruduct and they were marketing it over at this big technology show (the name slips me now) but he spent all week in that area traveling around.

I don't keep up with it as well as I should, but I have made a few entries on my blog. I am WELL overdue for an update though as I have been having some issues dealing with Kendo that I would love to vent!

I've just started a blog as a training diary (last weekend), so I can remember what we practiced at a particular class and what areas I need to focus on - just about everything - Hopefully the positives will become more numerious over time !

Cheers

I forgot to add that your posts here on these forums makes for a good notebook also. The "find all posts" for yourself adds up and shows you a window of your kendo at a previous time. The post even has a date / time to show you when
