If you have probs with the clip - go to http://www.comitatus.net and then to the video clips in 'Late Roman Army' heading ... the one you want is entitled 'Archery on Testudo' number 2..

Our horses are usually supplied by a contractor... this particular contractor I am familiar with due to my involvement with English Civil War Re-enactment... the horse in question is a mount that has been doing re-enactment for a long time and is very good @ what he does... he does other tricks also, like rearing on command and lying down..

Sweet fixie, but with SPD's? On a track, I can understand, but on the street? There are way too many reckless cagers out there, so I use toe clips - easier to exit while spinning if you need to bale in an emergency.
SPD's are actually reasonably easy to get out of..too easy in fact, that I pulled out of them twice, so I now use Time RXS pedals instead, which are far better.
As for toeclips, if you want to deliver power to the drivetrain, you still need stiff soled shoes and the straps so tight that the difference is the same.

I always wanted to submit pictures of my kendo club to my school's yearbook, but I'm always worried I'd get laughed at

Just 'cos you're looking for the perfect men while wearing a big skirt, you shouldn't be ashamed...

Yeah, I was a freshman last year so maybe now that I'm a big-bad sophmore I could submit some pictures of me in a skirt...

No gears, no freewheel. Keep meaning to take it to the track, but the only open training day at the velodrome is at the same time as kendo, so no go....maybe next season.
Ah, track guy. Now it makes more sense. I just thought you were overly masochistic or something. Looks like a VERY nice ride...

Gee, to the anonymous person who tried to give me neg rep and left this:

did you read that from a storybook?

No, it is called a life. And I left out the airplane.
I said tried because you forgot to say "mother may I" so it doesn't count.
