That looks so awesome. However...what would happen if it was the other way around? I mean, what might have happened if somebody just stuck a bullet to a table or a stand or something, and then a kenshi has to slice the bullet in half? I guess the fact that the bullet was fired at the sword helped.
That guy has great marksmanship btw...I don't know how to use a gun and would probably hit everyone else in the studio rather than the target!
Next thing we know, somebody crazy will attempt bullet slicing rather than just arrow slicing.

Most bullets are designed to frag once they make impact. They're soft metal. I could hit a metal pipe, and the lead might fly in two different directions.

Agreed entirely..The show only proves that Steel is superior to Lead..We knew that already..The point of bullets is that they are soft enough to cause severe damage once they penetrate the target..They are meant to frag.
Swords are meant to cut..So don't respond like that..
Interesting video..But rather pointless..

More a case of nice shooting with the first video.
Bullets, even fully jacketed rounds will split and fragment upon impact with virtually anything. I have seen pictures of rounds lodged inside people where the jacket has stripped away on impact with flesh and gone one way and the core has hit bone before fragmenting and going off in different directions without breaking the bone.
I agree that the smith must be knocking these swords out ten to the dozen as shooting them will at best ruin the edge and at worst snap the blade. These videos must have put this guys sales through the roof though, so fair play to him. Oh and they are quite fun to watch when there is nowt on the telly.
Do not try at home
