Well, let's see, he plays the bad guy in "Enter the Ninja" (not to be confused with "Revenge of the Ninja" in which he's the good guy).

Haven't see it since I was 11, but I'd say it's probably a pretty safe bet that he dies in that one, as bad guys in ninja films don't have a terrifically long shelf life.

(Incidentally, Clint dies in "The Beguiled," Bill Murray dies in "Groundhog's Day"--many times).

O.K. Here's a tougher one:

Christopher Reeve

Now, an hard one (but easy if you like really good italian films):

Aldo Fabrizi

I call foul here, because Bill Murray's character in ground hog day CAN'T DIE, thats why he is still alive, and I even think that one of his lines in the film is "I can't die!"

Debatable...notice how his "death" by suicide ends the day each time he does it. Arguably, he dies and is reincarnated, making death in the familiar sense impossible. BTW, he also speaks the line "I've died so many times..." to Andy Summers during a sombre cafe dialogue toward the end of the film.

Nevertheless, Bill plays Polonius in a semi-recent big screen adaptation of Hamlet. Haven't seen it, but barring a major textual deviation, he must die in that.

Ronin gai? It's one of the few non-Zatoichi roles I know of.

If you want movies in which they die, I *believe* I could try Return of the Jedi and Return of the King?

Bloody Hell, Michael Biehn dies in everything.

To Wit:

The Abyss

Terminator

Alien3 (interesting back story with this one, actually)

The Rock

Deadwood

(Survives: The Seventh Sign, Navy Seals)

Glad someone else picked up on this.

Other actors who die a lot:

Jared Leto: American Psycho, Panic Room, The Thin Red Line, Lord of War, Prefontaine, Urban Legend(?)

Horribly mangled in: Fight Club, Requiem for a Dream

James Gandolfini: The Juror, The Mexican, True Romance, Fallen

Powers Booth: U Turn, Red Dawn, Tombstone, Etreme Prejudice (and many others)

And of course, the wonderful Carl Weathers.

Lead off to be tortured and killed, off screen, at the end of The Italian Job (reamake). Does this count?

Also, Kindom of Heaven.

John also dies in The Grifters.

I'm reliably imformed that Orly eats it in Ned Kelly.
