Default Problems with online suppliers who don't deliver orders
hello, I'm n00b to forum so please bear with me.

Last week I emailed Amplus Kendo and placed an order for some tenegui and a shinai. The very same night, I transferred the specified payment into their account via internet banking. I emailed the next day asking if my payment had been received (because it usually appears in the other person's account within 24 hrs). The person emailed back and said that it usually takes 3-5 days for the transaction. It's been a week now and they don't have a contact telephone number, otherwise I would have called them long ago. I haven't heard anything from them, and I know that the money has already gone through (for starters my account is 104.50 poorer). Has anyone ever encountered problems with ordering equipment and how did you resolve it?

Thankies

Hi There

I have used Amplus quite a few times before and have found them pretty good to deal with, although I did buy a shinai from them a couple of weeks ago and it took about a week and a half as they have been having some trouble with the online ordering part of the site. Email Lucia@onlinekendo.com she should be able to help you out.

Find out from your internet banking service if they act as an intermediary for disputes, the way credit card companies do. They can usually bring more pressure to bear than what a single customer can do.

As long as you have a transaction number from your bank and a confirmation number from the store (although the confirmation number isn't necessary), you are in the driver's seat, and the company should make every effort to send you the items you've already paid for.

I hope it works out to the good for you.

I actually ordered a subscribtion from Kendo-world for their Magazine, and have never received one. I also emailed them about 7 times, without ever getting a response. I also tried PMing some of the MOD's, but their mailbox's are allways full, So basically, I think they stole about 80 bucks from me. Thanks Kendo World. I think if I start a thread about this, then maybe I could get some feedback.

A week seems a very short time to be worried about an on-line order. If you have gotten nothing in 3 weeks, then start getting worried. Patience is always required when ordering something on-line.

Chang Si/Isaac,
Just go away will you? When do you have to go back to school? I think I hear your mother calling. Is that the ice cream man I hear outside your house? Your dog wants to go for a walk. Something .....

Ahmed, why don't you ask on the Feedback thread like some guy (can't remember who) who was waiting for his Naginata book?

Immortal - haven't had a problem with Amplus but then I picked up my stuff in person. On their website however is a Q&A kinda thing and if you ask there, everyone can see what questions you're asking so they tend to be pretty prompt.

Thanks everyone for reassurance. I managed to make contact with the guy and my order IS on its way. Just turns out they never emailed to tell me that they had received my money and that my order was in the mail. Sorry to have troubled you.
