the avatars around here. And I'm volunteering my help with a couple of caveats.
I'll make you an avatar if you don't have one. I mean, there's some good ones here but they lack that indivdual flair that gives strong identity to the user. So, I'm volunteering. I'll make you an av for use here at KW forums. Only problems are: 1) I suck at Photoshop 2) These avs are damn small! 3) Did I mention I suck at Photoshop? Herewith, find some avs I have done. If you want it, right click, save as, and have at it in your User CP! http://i7.tinypic.com/211qpf4.jpg http://i7.tinypic.com/211qr2o.jpg |

I'm sorry, Gibbs. Badly cropping and resizing things is the extent of my inadequate skill with Photoshop. But there must be some other photoshop whizzes on this board. Pitch in, won't you? |

i've got some mild photoshoping skills and a half working graphix tablet, but no time to really do anything, i've got 8 credits this summer (in an accelerated program) with finals comming up, and then i go right into the fall semester which involves a 6 credit lab that ends up being 20 credits worth of work (microproc design and fab) You need to find a 14-15 year old, thats when i did my best work, have plenty of freetime to both do the art, and learn more about software, i did so much self teaching about software and programming back then.. lol

Nothing too difficult to make your own:
Things you need - a photo you like, and of course, Photoshop. 1. Open file 2. Select Crop from tool bar (press "C") 3. At the Option Bar (on top, underneath menu bar), set both width and height to 60 px (max size you can have), with resolution at 72 pixel/inch. 4. Select the area you want the avatar to be, say, the face of a person, etc. 5. Double-click on selection to crop. 6. Undo as much as you like, but do a Save for Web (Shift + Ctrl + Alt + S) when you finish. 7. Use the 2-up window to get a view of your file size. Reduce quality if too large. Then save and upload. Elementary, Watson. |
