Pretty Slick!

I used to love to make all sorts of things out of Legos.

I use to be into Star Wars legos, my room was filled with the things, then I realized that:

a) legos are not chick magnets
b) I had no room in my room because the Millenium Falcon was trying to leave cloud city, which meant my textbooks had to be thrown on the floor.
c) I could sell them for major $$$

ahhh legos, the supposed "childs toy" that is really expensive. those huge 50$ sets really cost 20$, they just need money for all the crappy liscensing. (i.e starwars/spongebob/avatar)

Fah. Legos were great until they started coming with instructions and predesigned plots. Where's the creativity in that? I made all my lego creations from scratch, and that's the only way to do it.

i was never allowed lego. so my brother had to share his with me.
so i got to play with all the odd coloured and broken bits whilst he kept all the shiny bits, with the right things and colours he needed and stuff.
and then if i did make something really good that matched (like this fighter jet (from scratch) that i made) i had to give it back so it got smashed back up and put back into the bucket
deprived i was

I never really enjoyed those High-tech legos though. The mechanic ones or whatever they were called? I liked those themed pirates, cowboys, medieval, etc. ones ... but you're right free form ones were also fun. Ah, which reminds me, I should volunteer to babysit my nephew (yes I'm an uncle now!) tomorrow, so I get to re-visit childhood and play those legos! mwahah The only excuse you can ever use at this age ...

I was never allowed lego either, only poxy barbie. I used to go to my friends house and play with her brother's lego. I loved it!!!

Now that Im an adult I can finally appreciate how excruciating teading on a lego piece right under the arch of a bare foot can be, at night in the dark on the way to the loo..... as a kid I never got why adults would winge about that so much...
