well i really want to do kendo i have this weird feeling when i think about it and i get happy and really just love the sport. because you dont just buy the equipment and your in, you have to earn it. and your based on skill not what bogu or shinai you have. so i was wandering if anyone lived in the denton texas region. maybe somewhere in sanger or a little town surrounding denton. and i would also like to know if i could be car pulled to the dojo in the dallas area. my parents arent willing to take me and im desperate to do kendo and ill even try to pay the driver of the person taking me.

well if i cant then is there a way i can practice without getting bad habbits? To be honest - no.
There isn't any way you can practice kendo by yourself without having an experienced instructor to train, watch, and correct you. Some people think they can learn kendo through those instructional videos on the internet(you can't), which is a common "solution"(as they see it) for not having a dojo nearby. If you really want to do kendo, just run, exercise and keep yourself in good shape until you can start practicing at a dojo. |
