I am reading Starship Troopers and was reading up on the man on the web when I can across this :

What do you boys and girls think of it ? How many you got ?
I can 1) change a diaper 2) invasion planning - well I can do it for Dune 2000, so possibly ;-) 3) butcher a hog - no chance - think I would throw up fingering the entrails 4) conn a ship - no idea 5) design a building - probably not 6) write a sonnet - yes - badly 7) balance accounts - not a problem 8) build a wall - no DIY here 9) set a bone - nope 10) comfort the dying - I would think I could - never had to 11) take order - yep - did 1.5 years in SA army 12) give orders - ditto and YES to the rest !!!

Done them all except the dying but have had some practice with it, every time I get to the brink, I recover. The one time all of my systems shut down, there was nothing particularly gallant about it.
Live your life well. Do as many things as you can. Nobody ever suffered because they were a"renaissance man".

1) change a diaper- Yup
2)plan an invasion- Does it have to be successful?
3)butcher a hog- Yes, especially if that hog is my boss.
4)conn a ship- If he means steal one and be bad ass pirate then yes.
5)design a building- Does a shanty count as a building?
6)write a sonnet- Nope
7)balance accounts- So far so good. Knock on wood.
8)build a wall- We Vikings are familiar with walls, although we are usually on the other side...
9)set a bone- Been there, done that.
10)comfort the dying- I can't even comfort someone with a cramp.
11)take orders- Yes sir!
12)give orders- Don't look at me cockeyed boy.
13)cooperate- If it's absolutely necessary
14)act alone- Look, I'm a big boy now....
15)solve equations- Child's play.
16)analyze a new problem- We do that everyday.
17)pitch manure- Give me enough liquor and I'll pitch my own manure.
18)program a computer- Yup, but still no luck with the VCR. Yeah that's right, I still use one of those old things with the giant black cassettes.
19)cook a tasty meal- If your lucky I might.
20)fight efficiently- I try.
21)die gallantly- I only get one shot at it, so I hope I can.
