Please shut down kendo-world for the rest of the day so I can get some work done. Not sure I could use kendo-world as an excuse for failing my PhD. Doubt my funding body would be happy about it

Or you could organise yourself better so that when you do go on kendo world for a day it won't have an effect on your work. Bloody students.

Ahem, when you say bloody students, you are probably referring to the great unwashed that is the undergraduate masses. Me being a slightly higher class of student that does my bosses research for him and works 7 days a week on said subject like to think of myself as something slightly better.

change your topic for your phd to addiction to internet forum and topics related to kend.. and put down your time on this forum as part of your research activity.
