Default tenugui in forehead
Is it ok to train with the tenugui in the forehead, recently I saw a japanese exhibition where children were doing suburi like that.

Do you mean just wearing the tenugui without putting on the men?

You mean, hachimaki - like a sweatband? I sure hope it's OK, been doing warmups that way since I started. Must keep sweat out of the contact lenses...

Sometimes when training outdoors and in mid-summer, we wrap our heads with the tenegui (in a different manner that when using the men) to prevent sweat to get to the eyes, particularly when doing suburi. Thou AFAIK, it's not a common use.

I should give a try, here is very hot and a lot of humidity, is there any traditional way to put it or just like "karate kid"? haha

Only see kids and hardcore 愛国心 guys wear hachimaki. I wear one sometimes during summer iai keiko to keep the sweat out of my eyes though.

One time I saw a beginner sweating too much that Sensei gave him a tenuigi to wrap around his forehead to stop the pouring.
