I think, in all seriousness, that isnt something we can help you with.

But as a start, you should get off the internet. You want to impress people and belong? Then get out there and DO something, work hard and earn the respect you want.

After the nasty crap youve said about wonderful people I know in Perth - THAT YOUVE NEVER MET, theres lots more Id love to say to you, but that would achieve nothing.

Go live a real life. Whatever. Just go away.

It's not that easy, and yet, it is.

The answer isn't to listen to others. It's to find a way to hear all of them, and yet listen to yourself. It's to find that moral voice inside you; one where all you do is don't hide behind anything anymore. One where you understand everything that anyone can levy against you. This isn't as easy as it may seem.

Many who allow others to judge them end up even more bitter than when they started. But that has nothing to do with the would-be judges. It has only to do with what's in your heart. What do you earnestly value in life and what do you lack respect for enough that you prostitute it for other gain?

Anyways, I sound like an idiot, I'm sure. All I can say is, I admire your stepping up and saying this, and while I don't expect anyone to magically agree that your slate is clean, I hope you find something within yourself that makes you perservere through all the carnage that you may have walked into.

Life is much like chess. We find ourselves in a very bad spot, and wonder how we got there. It took several moves, if not more, in most cases, to setup the position. Life is like that. You can't fix it in one move, but if you have perserverence, there is that one move that was the gateway to moves that will turn the game around for you.

Good luck with this life, this game.

Oh, and find a dojo. Trust me, put some work into it and it may change your life. You get out of life what you put into it. Kendo is just another example of this . . .

I respect your honesty.
It takes a brave person to toss away your ego and admit the truth. (Trust me on this)

Now then,
Are you wanting to locate a Dojo in your area?
If so, we can help.

We'll see...

(Geeze..wouldn't that be just a freakin' AWESOME sight to see a video on You-tube of you doing Jigeiko with Alison...and getting your ass handed to you with an utterly humiliating thrashing?)

Not that any of us wish you harm, but I reckon the tip of a Shinai smacking with blazing force upon your extremities has a way of making one see the errors of his ways....
LOL

Great! Now I can stop making mean comments to you. I think its good you took the advice offered to you. You should understand that it will take a good amount of time before I can put any trust in your words however. Many others on this forum might never trust anything you say. That is understandable too. I guess I could sit here and ask you why you said and did a lot of the things you did, but that doesn't get us anywhere.(It wouldn't say much about my character either.) Just do the right things from now on, and choose your words wisely. I hope you really do join a dojo, maybe it will help you in life, if not, at least help you gain a shred of respect around here. Good luck.

I think Kendo helped me a lot in the "self-development" department. Because it forces you to be honest. You can't lie in kendo. When you are tired, you will show it. When you suck, you will get beat down, when you are good you will win.

But the major part is the self analysis. If you ever want to be good in Life, or at kendo, or have good character and morals, you have to look at yourself objectively(or as objectively as you can) and try and correct whatever faults you might have. I think being honest, and realy being yourself, is the biggest step to improvement. Then after you are being yourself, you can fix your self. There is no point in trying to improve falsehood with more falsehood. As the saying goes, "the truth shall set you free".

I want to interject one small religous teaching, because it shows how great and hard self improvement can be. Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) said and taught that the greatest Jihad(struggle), is the inner Jihad where you struggle against your own soul and mind agaist your faults.

I hope you do well. And I also hope as well, to see you oneday on youtube, winning or losing against alison.

If your interested in starting before July there is also a beginners course at Kent St high school you could attend. won't stop you attending UWA in the future, just a way to practise some more. I hopefully will get to some UWA training sessions in the future... Grading is this weekend to so maybe you can come and see what you'll have to face in 6 months or so.

Contradulations!

There were a few claims made to me by him, which I won't go into. But all I can say is that I always kept a watchful eye on the things he said as I knew the truth would come out eventually.

It is good that you have finally come to your senses and tell the truth. Now that you want to start over, it is time to do the actions to show your sincerity. While I can only read from the forums, there are people on here that will surely keep a watchful eye on you. It will be hard at first, but once you show people you are serious, transgressions such as this can be forgiven.

Let us all know what your first practice is like!

Woohoo! 1000th post baby!!!

Well done. This is the first step.

Now, back it up with actions - stop playing with swords in your back yard and make sure you attend the dojo regularly. Be patient, stick at it and pay attention to the instruction you're given. Really reflect on what you've said and done in the past and why it got the reaction it did. Accept that you know nothing and you will be able to start learning.

If you do all this, you will actually be a kendoka, rather than just a kid playing in their back yard.

Good luck!

We can't help you. You need a doctor or a head shrinker to help you with your compulsive bullshit fountain most people call a mouth.

Once you start practicing kendo, then we can help.
I have never studied Kendo
We knew that bit already, but it was nice to hear you bite the bullet and admit it.

(my compliments for ur galantry). ..here's my dose of reality.
19 isn't too young of a age to start learning that it doesn't matter who hates you, rather it's whether you like yourself.

join a real dojo, and start training. kendo is good for everyone. good luck.

Kensen, Ali's had to listen to bollocks about her own dojo and people she knows. I hardly blame her.

Yet, now he's coming clean, hopefully Kendoka Han can stop the crap, get himself into a dojo and use the arts to help guide him into being a better, or at least less dishonest and offensive, person.

If you don't insult people, kensen, people might like you more. Keep those sort of opinions to yourself.
