Dear Kaoru,
My boss has offered to buy everyone beer after work today. However, I have already promised to take the Boy Scout Troop out on a camp out. Should I kill my boss for teasing me with free beer on a night I can't go, or should I kill the Scouts for causing me to miss free beer?

Dear Kaoru,
Meatloaf night has been a bit bland lately.
I'm afraid I'm heading for divorce-ville if my cooking doesn't bring a smile to my spouse soon.
~Is there anything I can do to perk up my meals?

Actually all I'd want is a sensei that lived in the same city as me...

If nothing else, we all know that Kaoru is the queen of information. Sort of surprised she's not on her mobile telling all of us off as we sort of deserve it.

BTW, can you figure out how I can convince my daughter that the fact that as she gets to play with mom going shopping and my son gets to play with me by going to kendo events, she really is getting the better part the deal?

Dear Motodachi to nagging waza,

That's easy. Just start giving her full credit card privileges for shopping sprees on the days you do MA. She'll be so happy that she'll practically beg you do more MA practice! Problem solved!

Dear Teased by free beer,

Wow, that's a toughy. Well, I think you should do this: Ask your boss if you all can go out early for the beer right after work and then ask the Boy Scout troop if they'd mind leaving in the evening that day instead, for the camping trip so you won't have to miss the free beer. If that fails and both refuse, kill them both. After all, you never did get that free beer and both were responsible!

Dear Kaoru,

Do you think entropy will lead to the eventual end of the universe?

Dear Bland but wants to be perky,

Well, for starters, check to see if you have been leaving out crucial ingredients such as salt.
If you have been adding the correct ingredients, then you probably have a bad recipe and you need to find a new one.

If you have been serving the same meatloaf dinner and sides each meatloaf night, you should perk up the dinner by changing the sides you serve each week and make the food look fancy on the plate before serving it. And, decorate the table with flowers, a pretty table cloth, napkins and candles for
extra perk. That should please her very much.

Or, maybe she just got tired of meatloaf. So, if that's the case, you could ditch the meatloaf night altogether and go out to eat! Why cook when there are restaurants that can do the cooking for you?

Dear Kaoru,

I'm a high school student living in the middle of no where called japan, and i can't find a kendo dojo near me. so i was wondering if you could give me some advise on how to train in keenjusu with my partner safely. i've studied in the art of the prying mantis for 2 and a half years with kenshin sensei (who has a black belt in judo, aikido, iaido, battttojutsu, naganata, kudo, kudos, and the prying mantis style of the 12 apostle shaolin temple karate iai), yet i'm a complete newbie to kendo, but i want to start very soon, to learn in the philosophy of the many styles kendo offers. if i have offended anyone, please i mean no offense, i don't want to ruin any friendships i've made with a little misunderstanding. i also want to note that i've tried to look for a dojo, but i just can't find one, people say that theres alot of schools of the ken in japan, but they're lying! the closest one i can find is 3875475847540950497504958 times 7df76 miles away!

Dear Kaoru,

So I go out to dinner last weekend and it occured to me, even though I have boxes of t-shirts that work just fine by themselves, I'm now wearing a button shirt that I have to add a tie to in order to hide the buttons. My jeans are dormant while my slacks are in use. Sneakers don't work so I have to have a second pair of shoes now. At dinner I have a large fork and a smaller one. A big spoon sits next to my smaller spoon, and even though there is a perfectly servicable butter knife with my personal arrangement the butter dish has a small, fatter knife with it.

So I was wondering, is this a subtle hint that I should date less sophisticated women in order to simplify my life? Or is this the universe telling me I should start learning nito.

Thx
