Don't you love the smell of a software release in the morning?

Is all relative, these release go on for about 48 (painful) hours, is a pain.

4am is standard time for watch change on a boat, regardless of weather, sail changes at 4:30am in the rain are among the less fun parts of ocean yacht racing.

I am also assuming that you are being paid in your nice comfy office at 4:30am, with a pot of hot coffee nearby, we sail for ..fun?
