Well is someone going to translate or should I just continue to stare at blocks... (my browser doesn't display kanji - not that it would matter)

Oops never mind. I should have read more thoroughly.

剣道が大好きですので、剣道のことを話したかったら、話しましょう。
Cumbersome repetition 剣道が大好きので would be more correct, to my thinking. I'm going non-native speaker. Especially as his "surname" is a word refering to revenge.

I sent the person a PM last night briefly explaining that this is an English forum...or at least it should have come out that way. I personally didn't bother to read into the profile, though. I am pretty sure that others have sent their PMs getting the point across in better Japanese though . Hopefully, we'll get some more info about this person when tomorrow comes for Japan.

Pa dobro ljudi, pustite čoveka neka nadje srodnu dušu na ovom forumu.
Možda ne zna Engleski...
Bilo kako bilo, pustimo ga da nađe ono što traži.
Baš bih voleo da znam Japanski.

Lehet hogy nem is tud Angolul.
Meglehet valami hasznosat akar mondani.
Menyire szeretném ha tudnék Japánul.

But thats just my humble opinion.

hello, some people welcome me, thank you. some people think i do not know what they are saying when they insult me. because of you people who insult me for one little mistake in typing and those who care so much about where i am from, and try to say what my skill is, good or bad, i want to say this: you people have lost the honor that you should show because of doing kendo.. i can not see if you are kendo players or not. please do not try to examine difficult kanji and say what it is when you are clearly wrong.. you should all be ashamed. thank you, but I will no longer use this forum because i see that people just want to look down on other's skill in language or kendo. i will not be a part of such a horrible place. thank you for those who were kind to me and i am sorry we cannot talk more..

i hope i never meet people like this if i visit foreign country and its dojo.. i would be very sad.

thank you,
makoto.

Oh come on! Give us another try!

Seriously, if we could start all over again in English, I think the discussion would actually go somewhere.

Sorry for the bad experience, but it would be nice to post in English!
There is lots of people from different country and different continent in that matter.
I for one, post in English and made lots of grammar mistakes, but no one insulted me for that.
BTW.My native language is Hungarian,I use Serbian as social language and never learned English, but German in school and I rarely use German(Deutschesprache).
This way we cant tell(naturally) what is the subject.
The majority wasn't quite insulting you. Some were trying to be funny(me including),some just sarcastic.

Cheers!

Sorry kid, but if you come storming onto an English language forum with the Japanese of a teenager, and pretend to be something or someone you are not, expect to "be insulted".
I find it hard to believe that your surname is Fukushu (revenge). To my mind, you are someone with upper-intermediate Japanese skills (like myself) but try to impress those with lesser ability by posing. I believe that is "losing the honor you should show because of doing kendo".
When you feel like being honest with us about who you are, welcome.

Unfortunately that would be grammatically unsound. Anyway, I think this thread has already had its day.

you guys really ripped on this one.. its curious as to where this person's from, not that I care, but if you think about it its interesting. his/her Japanese isnt incorrect to what some of you say, but it is pretty rigid. this person's english too seems a little weak and lacking a broad vocabulary also. but i am forced to agree with some of you and say it's just someone who wants to show off.

oh well

I don't know where you're really from (maybe from the Klingon homeworld) but if we lack honor, you my friend lack respect, you come into an english speaking forum, type in japanese, take your time and i mean a loooong time to answer and when you finally do in a language we understand, the subject is insults. Talk about good manners

And yeah You're welcome

his profile is kind of strange, state occupation as "Kendo Family/House", .
剣道家- I think that's the very same word "Kendoka" that we use regularly to describe a Kenshi who actually does Kendo? "Ka" isn't necessary translate as home or house, it can be a person. Such as "Gaka" means a painter; "paint/drawing artist" literally. In Chinese we also use the same characters as "gaka" meaning painter, artist. I think the usage is similar, so I think that "Ka" can translate something as "professional" or "artist" - the Japanese dictionary didn't give me this translation either. And I've always wondered what's the "ka" kanji for Kendoka.
